My company’s big break.

While my kids somehow keep finding endless videos to watch on their tablets, this is my version of screentime. I open my app, and sit and watch. The minutes tick by.

Zero visitors.

My store has been live for a few months now. It will surely start attracting raving customers. I have changed my homepage layout 13 times, and now it’s completely optimized. I may have to come up with one more attention grabbing headline tomorrow, just to do a bit more A/B testing, we’ll see if inspiration strikes.

I’m pretty sure last week’s blog post will get some press, when one of my loyal followers forwards that along to her writer friend. And my Facebook advertising campaign seems to be reaching an formative audience (at least according to my Ad Center dashboard). Things are going to pick up shortly.

Hmmm, still zero visitors.

Should I reach out to my cousin, and see if he knows an influencer around Chicago? That would help. How about I buy a book about affiliate marketing? That seems to be the trend. Maybe Amazon was the way to go after all. Oh wait, I can run a flash sale next week for my e-mail subscribers, and that will kickstart my sales for this month.

Still no page views?

I’m starting to think this business was a bad idea. Maybe if I pivot, I wonder if that works after three months? I probably don’t want to keep paying those e-commerce hosting fees forever anyway. Not sure if a larger company is looking to acquire someone this early in the game?

They are probably reading through my homepage which might take some time. I wonder if my button is large enough to find, so they click through. They were probably referred by a friend, which is the best form of advertising anyway. I don’t think it’s a bot .What if it’s a magazine looking for an article idea? I should probably check my e-mail to see if they reached out for more info.

I’m the man! Woot woot! Time to take advantage of my big break. See ya suckers.
